Lose Weight Lose Sugar!

By Christopher John

Many people are constantly fighting with the battle of the bulge. I have struggled with losing weight off and on for 35 years, and one thing I have found that really helps is to lower carbohydrate's in my diet. One of the most important carbohydrate's to eliminate if you want to lose weight is Sugar.

Some people say it's a "no brainer" to cut down on sugar if you want to lose weight. They of course are thinking of candy bars, sodas, and other types of what are commonly referred to as "junk foods." These foods are clearly a "no no" when trying to lose weight. However many of those same people will eat other types of foods that contain (and sometimes are loaded) with sugar in the ingredients.

Many of these foods are packaged to appear as foods that will aid us in our weight loss, and have words on the labels like "Low Fat," Zero Fat," "Lite," "Light," and even "Diet," and "Low Calorie!"

Despite the fact that these foods are clearly labeled as types of foods good for losing weight, many can hinder weight loss rather than encourage it. Especially in foods labeled "Low fat." Many times the food processors have to add a lot more sugar and carbohydrates to improve flavor and make up for the lack of fat.

Sugar not only contains empty calories, it also being 100% carbohydrate helps spike insulin levels in our body. This is a process that has been found to be one of the leading causes of our bodies storing fat.

Many diet professionals and Doctors alike have come to realize that lowering carbohydrates in our diets can be as beneficial as lowering calories, and eliminating sugar is a great way to start stepping in that direction.

Check Labels!

Check the labels, you will find there is hidden sugar in almost all processed foods, even pickles! Start with the higher sugar types if you want, with a goal of eventually eliminating sugar entirely from your life. Yow will be a happier healthier you by doing it, guaranteed!
