How about that payday loan?

Many of us are in need of fast money now. More and more people today are being forced into the sometimes - unpleasant task of finding a legitimate alternative cash source, to pay for having more month at the end of the money. Typically, when we are strapped for cash, many things can come to mind. Among the many are.

A. Is there a friend or family member I can borrow from? Let's face it, even when that is possible, we all cringe at the thought of it.

B. Let's take the old Victrola down to the pawnshop. I have nothing against pawnshops, (I love the show pawn stars) but this too can be an uncertain "embarrassing" experience for some.

C. Cash out a financial instrument like a real estate note, annuity etc. This method will not get you the "instant cash" you need most of the time for immediate bills or expenses like gas, utilities, etc.

D. None of the above.

Well, how about a payday loan?

If you need a relatively small amount of immediate cash, this can be an excellent short - term solution for you cash - flow problem. Keep in mind that these types of loans are generally considered great for emergencies, but are usually not used to go out and by that flat - screen T.V. you've been dreaming about. Before you decide to use this valid method of getting fast cash, you should consider a few things.

First off, you should make sure you can pay back the loan within the time frame specified in the payday loan contract. This will usually be between 1 - 2 weeks. Remember, if you will not be able to pay the loan plus fees back within the stated time, you will likely experience more fees to extend the loan period.

Second, you should take the time to shop around before you decide which payday loan service you will use. Ask how much the fees are and whether they charge an application fee. Many payday services do not charge fees for submitting the application for a loan

Lastly, eliminate some fears or misgivings by asking some simple questions.

A. Are there any hidden fees I should know about?
B. May I view all the terms and conditions of the loan before I make my decision?
(If you don't understand a term or condition, ask for a clear explanation.)
C. Once my loan is approved, how fast will I receive it?
D. Depending on the method of application, (fax, internet, or in - person) how will I receive my loan once approved? Make sure the method provided is acceptable to you.

Your payday loan experience can be an easy and perfectly acceptable means of getting
the cash you need now. Do your homework, and it can be a lifesaver!
